Meet the Team


  • Co-Founder

    Hey! I’m Joe, co-founder of James Rose & Co. and the person behind the bar at most of your favorite events.

    I started this business because I genuinely love creating great drinks and even better experiences. Bartending isn’t just about pouring cocktails, it’s about making people feel welcome, connecting through great conversation, and making sure each guest leaves with a smile (and a solid buzz, if that’s their vibe).

    Before launching James Rose & Co., I started working at my dad’s restaurant/concert venue in California and fell in love with making people happy! After a cool casual vibe I transitioned into fine dining in Green Bay, Wisconsin and now changed scenery a bit to Chicago! Now, I get to bring that passion to weddings, birthdays, corporate events, and everything in between.

    When I’m not behind the bar, you can find me going to sporting events, hanging out with my cat, cooking, or watching a scary movie!


  • Co-Founder

    Hi, I’m Madi, your craft cocktail enthusiast with a deep love for creativity and connection.

    I spent my college years working in the service industry to support myself, and after graduating with a BFA in Dance, I unexpectedly fell in love with the art of mixology. Creating craft cocktails reminds me of making “potions” as a kid—it’s playful, precise, and endlessly creative. Outside of bartending, dance has been a lifelong passion—I’ve dedicated over 20 years to it and continue to move every chance I get. When I’m not behind the bar or on the dance floor, you can find me foraging for mushrooms, strumming my guitar, or diving into spontaneous arts and crafts projects. I’m so excited to share this passion for mixology with others through intimate and large scale events. Cheers!
